Can you believe that Spring is here? Seattle got to ring in the season with 70-degree temperatures which I am so thankful for because wow, what a winter we had! Records were certainly broken here and probably where you live too! So as we all unthaw and start eyeing the spring fashion I thought I would share with you a trend that is sticking around. If you didn’t jump on the wagon last year, there’s still time because jumpsuits are here to stay!
Are you a jumpsuit fan yet?
I am, I actually have a few now and really love the ease of wearing them because it’s one piece and you are done. This season I was searching for one that I thought would be flattering for a variety of body types and I ran across this keeper. I really love how this jumpsuit creates a waistline with the tie detailing as well as creating an elongating effect with the V-shaped neckline. The cropped length is perfect for you to sport a variety of shoes and the wider leg falls nicely and is forgiving if you know what I mean. The chambray fabric is so lightweight that it will be great for you as the temperatures rise and you need to stay cooler.
As I’ve mentioned before, how you style it is really what brings a basic piece like this to the next level. A cropped jacket that falls at your waistline is ideal because it won’t add bulk. An added bonus, the length affords you to show off the belting detail too. I thought my grandmother’s antique locket would add some interest (and I love thinking of her when I wear it) but any statement necklace will do. With added splashes of color, I like to incorporate a patterned item and in this case, a graffiti clutch was perfect to round out the look.
